This fall, Milwaukee Tool will kick off its ninth season of heated gear with a refreshed line of Heated Gear products. All gear will feature faster heating technology, garment improvements, as well as overall enhancements to vastly improve the wearer’s experience. In addition, Milwaukee® will also introduce a brand new Heated Gear category with the addition of M12™ Heated AXIS™ Jackets and Vests.

M12™ Heated TOUGHSHELL™ Jackets

Powered by M12™ REDLITHIUM™ Battery technology, the M12™ Heated TOUGHSHELL™ Jackets use carbon fiber heating elements to create and distribute heat to the chest, back, and front pockets. This year, Milwaukee® added a new Quick-Heat function which helps deliver heat 3X faster than before, fully heating up the jacket in 2.5 minutes. Built to survive the elements both on and off the jobsite, these jackets utilize TOUGHSHELL™ Stretch Polyester for 5X longer life than other soft-shell jackets, with improved wind/water resistance. To ensure better heat retention, the sleeves now feature increased insulation. In addition, FREEFLEX™ Mobility Gussets help users maneuver more easily. Returning this year are various popular features such as 3 heat settings, up to 8 hours of run-time, and machine washable construction. The 2018 lineup includes black, red, and new Realtree EDGE® camo. Each will now ship with the M12™ Compact Charger and Portable Power Source for ideal on-the-go charging via micro-USB in wall outlets, vehicles, or computers.

M12™ Heated Hoodies

Powered by M12™ REDLITHIUM™ Battery technology, the M12™ Heated Hoodies use carbon fiber heating elements to create and distribute heat to the chest and back. A new Quick-Heat function helps deliver heat 3X faster than before, fully heating up the hoodie within 2.5 minutes. Combining a durable cotton/polyester exterior with a waffle weave thermal lining, these hoodies provide a versatile three-season solution to keep heat in and allow users to shed bulky layers. Returning this year are various popular features such as 3 heat settings, up to 6 hours of run-time, a fitted hood for use under a hard hat, and machine washable construction. The 2018 lineup includes black, red, and gray.

M12™ Heated AXIS™ Jackets and Vests

Milwaukee’s newest additions to the Heated Gear line are the M12™ Heated AXIS™ Jackets and Vests. A hybrid construction featuring the new AXIS™ Ripstop Polyester provides a lightweight, compressible design that can be used as an outer shell or a mid-layer, and protects the wearer from wind and water. Just like the M12™ Heated TOUGHSHELL™ Jackets and Hoodies, these new AXIS™ jackets and vests are powered by M12™ REDLITHIUM™ Battery technology. A new Quick-Heat function lets users feel the heat 3X faster, distributing heat to the chest, back and shoulders of the jackets and the chest and back of the vests. The jackets’ heated shoulders are particularly beneficial in extreme cold conditions or during layering to allow for additional heat dispersion. MILWAUKEE, WI – This fall Milwaukee Tool will launch the first heated gloves designed to survive the jobsite and outlast the elements – the new USB Rechargeable Heated Gloves. Powered by rechargeable REDLITHIUM™ battery technology, the new gloves heat on-demand, providing up to 6 hours of run-time. Built to be worn both on and off the jobsite, the gloves are also designed with features to improve overall dexterity and mobility.

“At Milwaukee® we understand that trade professionals are expected to work in some very tough conditions, cold weather being one of the most inclement. Powered by REDLITHIUM™ USB**, these gloves feature 3 heat settings (Low, Medium, High) and fully heat up in just 2.5 minutes. Users will experience up to 6 hours of continuous run-time, with heat extending to the fingers and back of the hands.

Existing heated glove offerings and jobsite winter gloves lack the durability to stand up to the harsh conditions of the jobsite, which is why Milwaukee® constructed the USB Rechargeable Heated Gloves with GRIDIRON™ Ripstop Polyester, making them 3X more durable against tearing and abrasion. This lightweight polyester also makes them 25% lighter for maximum mobility, as well as wind and water resistant. For extra dexterity and durability, the palms and fingers are 100% leather. An extended cuff also works to keep debris, water, and snow out of the glove and easily pulls over jacket sleeves.

As touchscreen smartphones and tablets have become more prevalent on jobsites, the need for tech-compatible gloves is an absolute must. To address this issue, these new gloves also include SMARTSWIPE™ on the index fingers which permits the use of touch screen devices without removing gloves.

Using a standard laser measure outside is often a hit or miss affair, dependent upon cloud cover, trees and a building roof or overhang that may block the sun. All of these random elements are now history thanks to the advanced technology and versatility of the Bosch BLAZE™ Outdoor GLM400C Connected Laser Measure with Viewfinder and the Bosch BLAZE™ Outdoor GLM400CL Connected Laser Measure with Camera.

Both outdoor laser measures rely on a 5.0-megapixel, 8X zoom camera with scratch-proof screen to find the laser target at up to 400 ft. in bright conditions, expansive indoor space or against busy backdrops. The easy-to-read color display illuminates large numbers and provides clear resolution in dark areas. The BLAZE GLM400CL version can take photos and comes with memory for 50 measurements and storage for up to 200 images, in addition to a lithium-ion battery.

Default real-time measurement provides immediate, accurate measuring that automatically adjusts as the user moves closer or father from the target. Measurement accuracy is +/- 1/16 in. Each device is sized to fit into any pocket for easy access. A digital bubble level provides a visual reference when measuring horizontal distances.

Measurement documentation can be transferred quickly to a smartphone or tablet relying on Bluetooth® connectivity in conjunction with Bosch’s MeasureOn app. Note: Photo files are too large to transfer via Bluetooth®, but can be transmitted using supplied USB cable. Easily organize, document and transfer measurements using the free Bosch MeasureOn app. The free-to-download app provides an intuitive and clear digital project overview, including floor plans, measurements and notes.

“Not every laser measuring job is indoors under controlled light conditions,” said Brandon Eble, product manager, measuring tools, Bosch Power Tools. “A high percentage of jobs will require some outdoor measuring. Typical jobs are in direct sunlight for about 75 percent of the project due to light coming through incomplete walls without drywall or another covering. This drove us to develop the Bosch BLAZE Outdoor GLM400C and GLM400CL laser measures. Our goal was to provide a tool that could be used for a full job, no matter the lighting conditions or distance required.”

The BLAZE Outdoor GLM400C and BLAZE Outdoor GLM400CL laser measures provide default real-time measuring, as well as length, area, volume and indirect measuring functions that are easy to employ using a display guide that walks the user through each measurement process. A built-in inclinometer determines the angle of pitch (tilt angle 360°), maximum/minimum stake out lengths and double indirect measurements. It also confirms when the tool is level.

The Bosch BLAZE Outdoor GLM400C with Viewfinder is powered by three AA batteries and includes a hand strap and pouch. The Bosch BLAZE Outdoor GLM400CL with Camera includes an integrated, rechargeable 3.1 Ah Lithium-ion battery that delivers enough runtime for all-day jobs, along with a micro USB cable, a battery charger, hand strap and pouch.
