New, Premium Residential Boiler for All Comfort Heating Needs Including High-Performing Combi Applications

The future of residential comfort heating has arrived with the introduction of the ECO® Tec high-efficiency boiler from Weil-McLain®. The new ECO Tec premium boiler meets nearly all residential application needs including multi-zone and combi applications. It features a long-lasting fire tube heat exchanger and is available in combi versions with response time and domestic hot water (DHW) output designed to meet the demanding needs of residential replacement applications. ECO Tec is easy to install, use and service, operates whisper quiet, and is among the most energy efficient residential boilers available today.

ECO Tec is available in four heat only sizes ranging from 80 to 199 MBH. The combi versions are available in three sizes – 110, 150 and 199 MBH – with hot water output up to 5.4 gallons per minute (GPM) and features Weil-McLain’s advanced ECO BOOSTTM technology to provide rapid DHW response. ECO Tec also includes built-in zone control, connects to four thermostat inputs and features an easy-to-use setup wizard and heating system presets.

ECO Tec features exceptional domestic hot water performance and was developed with Weil-McLain’s next generation, easy-to-use Unity 2.0 control with color touch screen display. Contractors will appreciate the ease of installation, use and service, while homeowners will enjoy high performance and energy-efficient comfort home heating.

Featuring a 95% AFUE rating, ECO Tec is among the highest energy efficient residential boilers in the industry. ECO Tec achieved the “Most Efficient” rating level from Energy Star® in 2020 and is rated to deliver maximum operational cost savings to homeowners.

The unit’s durable stainless steel fire tube heat exchanger features a vertical orientation for “self-rinsing” during operation, and a polypropylene condensate-collector base that provides better corrosion resistance than traditional stainless steel, helping to ensure a long service life. A sound suppressing air silencer on the heat exchanger provides whisper quiet operation.

ECO Tec is designed for easy maintenance and service with a spacious cabinet that allows for full access to internal components, common parts for all unit sizes and the easy-to-use control touch screen display.

The new CerroZone™ indoor air purification system achieved a 99.9684 percent reduction of live COVID-19 in a single pass in under 30 seconds, according to independent testing at the University of Missouri Laboratory for Infectious Disease Research (LIDR).

“We are thrilled with the dramatic results confirmed by LIDR and are excited to prepare the product for market launch,” commented Michael Duggan, President of CerroZone LLC. “We appreciate the outstanding work done by the LIDR team led by Dr. Paul Anderson.”

Duggan said CerroZone plans to initially launch two product configurations, a mobile unit and a wall/ceiling mounted unit.

Unlike UV-C based systems, Duggan said, CerroZone will offer the market a compelling value proposition without need of frequent replacement of expensive UV bulbs and accessories.

“Another key difference versus competing products,” he said, “is that CerroZone units will be whisper quiet.”

Testing on other pathogens is being planned for 2021 with similar results anticipated, Duggan said.

CerroZone will apply under Section 510(k) of the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, which requires device manufacturers to notify the FDA of their intent to market a medical device at least 90 days before launching the product.

The patent-pending system was developed in conjunction with Micron Pure™, a Hecto Group™ company.

Details and updates will be shared on www.CerroZone.com.

You can’t possibly know when a fire will break out in your house or if it ever will. However, you need to prepare for the unforeseeable event because the damage can be incredibly devastating if you don’t.

To keep your family, belongings, and property safe, you can use heat resistant materials in your house. Any quality heat resistant material is bound to mitigate the threat of a fire in its own way. The more of these materials you use all over your house, the more you can minimize the effects of a fire on your family and property.

So, instead of risking the safety of your family and the loss of your belongings, here are five reasons to use quality heat resistant materials in your home.

Reduce the Likelihood of a Fire Breaking Out

The primary objective of using heat resistant materials in your home is to reduce the likelihood of a fire ever breaking out.

There are many heat resistant materials that you can use all over your house that don’t ignite easily. You should use them, especially in places where a fire can more easily break out.

While this would be better if you were renovating your home or constructing it, you can still use some heat resistant equipment around the house.

Have Longer Burn Times

The flammable materials can easily catch fire and quickly burn if a fire ever breaks out in your home. They will be the reason why the fire will spread to other parts of your home.

However, heat resistant materials can survive incredibly high temperatures. That means they have a much higher resistance to fire, and they will take a very long time to burn even if they somehow catch on fire.

This slow-burning time can be crucial for you in many ways. Firstly, it will allow you to get your family to safety. Secondly, it will give you more time to get valuables out of harm’s way. Thirdly, it will allow you to try to stop the fire yourself. Finally, it will give more time for help to arrive.

Cost-Effective

Before making a purchase, you might consider how beneficial it will be for you and whether those benefits justify the costs or not. You can do the same for heat resistant materials as well.

Suppose a fire breaks out in your home because a pipe that shouldn’t have been covered with heat resistant materials wasn’t. In that case, you might have to spend much more money than you normally would in purchasing the heat resistant materials. You would have to pay for the damaged or lost belongings, replace the system, and also cover it with heat resistant materials.

Potential Insurance Discounts

Home insurance is a necessary cost that you have to pay to avoid potential future financial burdens. You may not like it, but it’s required. However, you can try doing several things to reduce the monthly premiums for your home insurance. Among them is using heat resistant materials in your home.

Insurance companies recognize the use of heat resistant materials as an effort on your part to reduce the likelihood of a fire. Thereby meaning that their chances of spending money replacing your insured items in the event of a fire are much lesser.

Therefore, you should talk to your broker or insurance company about it and see if you are eligible.

Numerous Options

Normally, you might use an extinguisher around the house to prevent fires. If you look into heat resistant materials, you can find many other things, such as a fire blanket.

Moreover, you will also see sealants, pipes, tapes, and many more products that can be used around the house.
