RIDGID SeeSnake Compact C40 and M40, each powered by TruSenseTM technologyDelivering big performance in a small package, the RIDGID® SeeSnake® Compact series of camera reels just got better with the addition of the SeeSnake Compact C40 and M40, each powered by TruSenseTM technology.

Both camera reels feature a 25 mm self-leveling camera head, 131 feet (40 meters) of push cable and are compatible with RIDGID CSx series Wi-Fi enabled monitors. Their quick-release docking system makes them ideal for the new CS6x Versa digital reporting monitor and their sturdy metal frame provides a solid base that makes it easy to push and retrieve the cable for fast, efficient use. The C40’s flexible push cable is ideal for small/restricted branch lines with tight turns and shorter runs in main laterals, while the M40’s moderately stiff push cable better suits longer runs in main and branch lines.

RIDGID SeeSnake CSx series Wi-Fi enabled monitorThe integrated TruSense technology establishes a two-way datalink path between the camera head and a connected RIDGID SeeSnake CSx series Wi-Fi enabled monitor. TruSense technology brings powerful data capability to plumbing diagnostics. A high dynamic range (HDR) image sensor and TiltsenseTM inclinometer takes the next leap forward in diagnostic imaging and conveys valuable information about the in-pipe environment.

A common challenge faced by diagnostic professionals is being able to see far down the pipe as well as the image just in front of the camera’s lights. An HDR image sensor expands the camera’s dynamic range, allowing a greater ratio of bright and dark areas to be displayed in the same image at the same time without reducing visibility. This means fewer blown-out areas and sections of the pipe that are too dark to see, offering superior clarity and detail. TiltSense measures the camera’s angle and, when connected to a SeeSnake CSx series monitor, can convey the camera’s degree of tilt on the monitor display – giving pros a useful indicator of the pitch of the camera in-pipe.

Channellock SpeedGrip Toungue & Groove PliersMeadville, Pa.—Channellock, Inc. announced the launch of SpeedGrip™, an all-new family of American-made tongue & groove pliers that include a fast-adjusting feature and patent-pending crosshatch teeth. This is the newest product line from CHANNELLOCK. The line of push-button tongue & groove pliers are 100% made and manufactured in the USA with die-forged high carbon U.S. steel to stand the test of time.

“We heard from our core tradesmen that they wanted fast-action, push-button style pliers from CHANNELLOCK, their trusted brand for pliers,” said Ryan DeArment, vice president of sales and marketing at Channellock, Inc. “We are excited to provide something new and improved for our tradesmen. The adjustment feature on our SpeedGrip™ is unique and brings fresh innovation to our iconic, American-made line of pliers.”

SpeedGrip™ prevents adjustment slippage by locking into strong channels at the push of a button, making it twice as fast with more adjustments than standard tongue & groove pliers. This tool is designed to stay in place until the adjustment button is engaged, preventing the need for constant re-adjustments. Precise, robotic laser heat-treating makes the patent-pending crosshatch teeth more durable, and provides a stronger grip with more points of contact for superior job performance, and the reaming feature on the top of the tool is made for deburring pipes easily. With CHANNELLOCK BLUE no-slip comfort grips, these pliers are designed for ultimate control and ease hand fatigue.

“Our research shows that professional tradesmen value durability and innovation, and are proud to carry tools that are made in America,” added DeArment. “In fact, 60% of consumers say they prefer hand tools made in the USA, but approximately 11% of hand tools at top retailers are actually manufactured in the U.S. We designed SpeedGrip™ to give plumbers, electricians, HVAC specialists and auto mechanics another quality option in their toolbox that adds to their ability to get the job done right.”

SpeedGrip™ is available in three sizes and a combo pack.

• 428X (8”)

• 430®X (10”)

• 440®X (12”)

• GS-IX featuring the 428X (8”) and 430®X (10”)

HoldRite® a subsidiary of Reliance Worldwide Corporation (RWC) and a leading manufacturer of plumbing pipe and equipment support systems, acoustical plumbing solutions, water heater accessories and water and firestop sleeving systems has launched a new HoldRite HydroFlameTM firestop product line. The new UL (Underwriters Laboratories)-listed product line, which includes firestop and acoustic sealants, intumescent wrap strips, pipe collars and putty pads offers HoldRite users a complete, one-source sleeving and firestop solution for new and retrofit construction.

According to HoldRite Marketing Director Darlene Byrne, the new firestop and acoustic sealant line compliments HoldRite’s popular HydroFlame Pro Cast-in-Place Firestop, which has a patented telescoping design that can extend to any deck depth required. The new line of sealant products goes beyond cast-in-place solution, providing flame, gas and liquid intrusion protection for a wide variety of wall and floor penetrations, she said.

“Previously, our products focused mostly on cast-in-place solutions,” said Byrne. “Based on the demand, we’ve expanded our offering from 36 UL system listings, to more than 300, allowing us to be a single-source sleeving and firestop provider. This makes it much easier for contractors to specify our products and allows them to approach sealing wall and floor penetrations for commercial and residential construction in a more systematic way, rather than with piecemeal solutions.”

The new HydroFlame Sealants line includes:

Sealants
HydroFlame Sealants protect vertical and horizontal construction assemblies from smoke and acoustic penetration, and prevent intrusion of flames and gases. They are compatible with a wide range of materials, including interior rated gypsum, concrete and block walls, as well as rated concrete floors, concrete over metal decking floors and wood floor/ceiling assemblies. Additionally, HydroFlame Sealants work with a variety of materials, such as cast iron, steel, steel conduits, copper pipe and tubing as well as nonmetallic pipes such as PVC, CPVC, ABS, PVDF PEX, PP, XFR pipes and more. They can also be used around various cables/bundles and sheet metal ductwork.

Wrap Strips
The HydroFlame Wrap Strip is made of a high-performance, flexible, intumescent materials that form a protective char when exposed to heat, in order to prevent the passage of flames and toxic gases. They can be used in fire-rated assemblies to seal off large combustible pipes or, insulated pipe penetrations within concrete/masonry walls, concrete and wood floors and gypsum wall assemblies. They can also be used with a custom collar.

Pipe Collars
HydroFlame Pipe Collars are pre-assembled with highly intumescent material and are ideal for use in open and closed through-penetration firestop systems. Featuring an easy interlocking tab for efficient installation, our unique design helps save time and expense when compared to our competitors’ smaller collars. HydroFlame Pipe Collars are ideal for firestopping larger plastic combustible pipe penetrations up to six inches in diameter. Collars are compatible with concrete floor and wall assemblies, as well as on gypsum walls and rated wood floors.

Putty Pads

HydroFlame Putty Pads are made of a moldable, non-curing, single component fire-rated material. Used for membrane-penetration firestop systems, our putty expands when exposed to heat to form an insulating char. This protects against the spread of flames, smoke and toxic gas through penetration openings. No mixing is required for application, and this product can be used on metal or nonmetallic electrical box outlets and electrical or mechanical cabinets.
