In continuing its commitment to innovative jobsite solutions to expert tradespeople around the world, RIDGID® is pleased to announce the addition of Mitch Barton to the RIDGID Global Press Connection team, where he will serve as Marketing Director. In this new position, Barton will manage product development, partner relations and new business opportunities for the growing line of RIDGID press tools.
Barton brings several decades of marketing and product development experience to his new role. Previously, he served as Director, Global Project Management for Performance Health in Akron. In this role, he transformed the product management group from a support organization to a high performing team leading projects and decision making across the organization. At RIDGID, he brings this innovative outlook to the Global Press Connection team, helping them strengthen their focus, responsiveness and global connectivity solutions in the pressing category.
“Looking at the needs of our end-user – the professional tradesperson – is critical to our overall product development strategy. Mitch understands this ‘consumer-first’ mindset and will help us continue to take a more holistic view towards new tool technologies,” said John Ruese, VP & General Manager of Global Press Connection at RIDGID.

Industry veteran Terry Samona has been named Vice President of Human Resources at Viega LLC.
Terry oversees human resources management and development at Viega’s operations in the U.S., including headquarters and a seminar center in Broomfield, Colo.; a manufacturing plant and distribution hub in McPherson, Kan.; three additional distribution centers in Nevada, Georgia and Pennsylvania; and a seminar center in Nashua, N.H.

He worked as a sales representative for Venco Sales, Inc. in Huntington, N.Y., for the past 11 years. Earlier he worked as a sales representative for Ridgewood Corp. in Newburgh, N.Y. He was a member of the National Association of Oil & Energy Service Professionals in New Jersey. Jim was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Newton.
He was the beloved husband of Cindy (nee McNamara); the devoted father of Breanne and James, and the dear brother of Patty Carona, MaryBeth Simone, Michael Finan, and the late Kathy Black and Eileen Hartford.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington, N.J., on Tuesday, March 26 for the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Visitation will be held at the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Rd., North Arlington on Monday, March 25, from 4 to 8 p.m.

“Cody has nearly 20 years’ of experience as an installation contractor, service tech and application engineer,” says Caleffi sales director, Roger Corrente. “He’s known for taking technical concepts and making them clearly understood.
