Product Spotlight
Watts has announced the launch of the Pure Water Residential Dual Media 45K Softening and Filtration System. This comprehensive whole-house solution combines advanced water softening and filtration in a single, space-saving design.
The Pure Water Residential Dual Media 45K system is engineered to deliver optimal water softening with a maximum ion exchange capacity of 45,000 grains. The system incorporates Granular Activated Carbon (GAC), which effectively reduces chlorine taste and odors while extending the life of the softening resin, offering homeowners both superior performance and enhanced water quality.
In addition to its performance benefits, the system’s design maximizes efficiency and cost-effectiveness. By combining water softening and filtration technologies into one tank, the system reduces the space required for installation and lowers overall costs. The GAC and resin are housed in separate chambers, which not only enhances efficiency, but also reduces media replacement costs. Maintenance is further simplified with the inclusion of a mineral tank dome hole, providing easy access for GAC media replacement.
The Pure Water Residential Dual Media 45K system also features state-of-the-art computer programming, which optimizes operating efficiency and conserves both salt and water.

Designed as an above-ground lift station, the Sanicubic series is ideal for environments where gravity drainage is not an option, providing an efficient and reliable way to pump wastewater to the main sewage line. The Sanicubic range from Saniflo is a robust and versatile solution for handling wastewater in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The whole range is under limited warranty for 4 years and UPC and CSA approved for nationwide compliance.
Performance and Models
The Sanicubic range includes two primary models, each tailored to different needs. The Sanicubic 1 is a single-motor unit, perfect for residential applications or smaller commercial spaces. It is capable of pumping waste 36 feet up (including solids up to 2”) from multiple fixtures, including toilets, sinks, showers, and washing machines. The pump can handle up to 137 GPM (VX model), making it a powerful yet compact solution for homes and small businesses.
For larger or more demanding applications, the Sanicubic 2 is an excellent choice. This model features a dual-motor system that ensures continuous operation, even if one motor fails. The Sanicubic 2 can pump up to 250 GPM (VX model) and is suitable for commercial properties such as restaurants, hotels, and public buildings where high-volume wastewater (including solids up to 2”) management is crucial.
Application and Integration
Each model in the Sanicubic range is engineered as an above-ground lift station, making installation straightforward and minimizing disruption to the property. This feature is particularly beneficial in basements or areas where traditional gravity-fed below ground systems would be impractical or impossible. The compact design allows the unit to be installed discreetly, and the robust construction ensures long-term durability even in the most challenging environments. The maintenance is also very easy with quick access to the main components, coupled to an external control panel and an alarm to ensure reliable operation.
The Sanicubic range offers a reliable, high-performance solution for wastewater management, with each model providing the necessary power and capacity to meet specific needs. As an above-ground lift station, it stands out as a versatile and essential tool for all applications.

RectorSeal, a leading manufacturer of HVAC/R and plumbing accessories, has announced the release of the Dust Free Active Gold for residential and commercial HVAC systems. Active Gold provides three levels of air quality control using a dynamic mix of carbon fiber ionizers, UV light, and active photocatalysts.
Active Gold has carbon fiber ionizers with zero ozone production that attract, capture, and remove millions of virus-carrying dust particles. The unit’s UV-C spectrum germicidal light inactivates microbial activity and provides HVAC system disinfection. Dust Free’s Active Gold utilizes UV-activated catalysts to break down organic pollutants and odors. The product meets the UL 2998 zero ozone emissions standard and is certified by the California Air Resources Board (CARB).
Engineered for easy installation and service in metal or fiberglass ductwork, Active Gold features a gasket-sealed mounting plate and a twist-lock power cord to ensure solid power connections are kept despite vibrations and movements.
Other features of Active Gold include:
- Custom power supply: Protects against high humidity, high salt, and high-temperature HVAC environments.
- Extended durability: Up to 3000-volt surge protection and a gentle lamp start ensure added durability and prolonged usage.
- Compliance and compatibility: Meets UL, DE, and FCC approval.
“This product is a triple threat in the HVAC end market, providing a versatile solution to nearly any indoor air quality problem,” said Gregg Burnett, VP and GM of Dust Free. “Active Gold is a superior filtration choice for residential and commercial HVAC installations.”
