Rolling Meadows, Ill. — Plumbing Manufacturers International (PMI) congratulates Shabbir Rawalpindiwala, Manager Codes and Standards, Engineering and Plumbing at the Kohler Company, on being named the recipient of the 2013 Joseph K. Seidner Award at the Canadian Advisory Council on Plumbing.
On behalf of the Kohler Company, Rawalpindiwala has been an active member of PMI; working alongside members and staff to increase the standards and safety of the plumbing industry. His tireless efforts cross borders to benefit both the USA and Canada. Rawalpindiwala has been an integral part of numerous committees and task groups aimed at improving the codes and standards of plumbing products to improve health and safety.
The Joseph K. Seidner Award was presented to Rawalpindiwala at ceremonies in Edmonton, Alberta Canada on August 20, 2013. Recipients of the award must be nominated for outstanding contributions to the plumbing industry and serve on either the Canadian Advisory Council on Plumbing, the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) International Standard Writing Committees, and/or the Industry Advisory Council of the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH). Recipients are approved by the CIPH Board. This is the second award this year for Rawalpindiwala; he also received the 2013 Award of Merit at the CSA Group’s annual conference in Calgary, Alberta.
Past award winners include former PMI members and Delta Faucet Co. employees Sally Remedios (2009) and Bill Granger (2004).
