HVACR Workforce Development Foundation Welcomes New Board of Trustees Members

Arlington, Va. — The HVACR Workforce Development Foundation today welcomed four new members to its Board of Trustees. The Foundation is committed to raising awareness of the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and water heating industry; creating interest in the industry as a career choice; and enhancing the quality and quantity of available workforce.

New members of the Board of Trustees include:

Rosemary Sparks, Executive Director of the Construction Sector Council
Janet B. Bray, CAE, Chief Strategist and Founder of Bray Strategies
Thomas N. Applegate, Executive Director for the Ohio Association of Career and Technical Superintendents
Bryan D. Albrecht, Ed.D., President and Chief Executive Officer of Gateway Technical College
“These individuals’ diverse backgrounds and demonstrated appreciation for the Foundation’s mission and goals make them an excellent fit for the Board of Trustees,” said the Foundation’s Executive Director, Donald Frendberg.

The new members join Frendberg; Stephen Yurek, Chairman (Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute); Paul Stalknecht, Secretary Treasurer (Air Conditioning Contractors of America); Talbot Gee (Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Distributors International); Warren Heeley (Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute); Gerry Kennedy (Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association); Jeff Littleton (ASHRAE); Mark Lowry (Refrigeration Service Engineers Society); and Wade Smith (Air Movement and Control Association).

“These professionals have the business acumen, determination, and commitment to excellence that will allow us to educate a greater number of qualified professionals about the challenging and interesting careers available to them in the HVACR and water heating field,” Frendberg continued. “I look forward to working with them to build on the success that the Foundation has enjoyed thus far.”
