Philadelphia — EMCOR Services Fluidics has been recognized for exemplary safety practices and performance with a First Place Safety Award from the Mechanical Contractors Association of Eastern Pennsylvania (MCAEP). The award was presented for achieving safety excellence within the 500,001-750,000 man-hour category.

The MCAEP Safety Awards recognize members whose safety statistics are at least 25% better than the national average for mechanical contractors. Fluidics had a total recordable incident rate that was 40 percent below the national average and a lost time incident rate that was 45 percent below the national average.

Fluidics’ commitment to safety is part of a multi-tiered, integrated approach that includes a zero injury program as well as a host of supporting initiatives such as the “Be There For Life” program. This EMCOR effort is designed to educate employees and their families about the importance of safety through use of workplace posters, company newsletters, mailings, and other creative tactics intended to reach employees and their families. EMCOR also conducts regional “Target Zero” safety conferences, bringing together industry experts from its operating companies and partners to share information and successful strategies.
