Weil Pump, A Wilo Company, is pleased to announce that it now offers a full line of vertical multistage booster pumps and systems.

The new booster systems combine Weil’s Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) panels with Wilo-Helix V pumps and are available in 2, 3 or 4-pump configurations. The multi-pump systems offer real-time diagnostics and remote monitoring with variable speed control and balanced run time for each pump. The booster packages are suitable for many applications, including water supply, pressure boosting, agriculture, washing/sprinkling systems, cooling circuits and condensate return.

The systems have a maximum head of 780 feet, maximum flow of 550 GPM, rated pressure of 232 PSI and a liquid temperature range of -4°F to 248°F. Additionally, these systems are NSF-61 and NSF-372 certified, have full 304 stainless steel construction and feature 300 class ANSI flange connections.

Weil’s PLC panels are built in-house at Weil’s production facility in Cedarburg, WI and provide a powerful platform for the control of most pumping systems, including commercial, industrial and process & booster service pumps. The panels feature an easy to use, seven inch touchscreen and offer onboard ModBUS and optional BacNET and LonWorks interface. Additionally, the panels boast full-system kWh energy reporting with detailed metrics, built-in troubleshooting and alarm histories for offsite management and control.

Weil’s booster pump offering also includes the Wilo-Helix V high-pressure vertical multistage centrifugal pumps as well as Wilo-Helix EXCEL high efficiency multistage pumps. For more information, contact your local Weil Pump representative at http://weilpump.com/#findrep.

Pipe fabricators, welders and metal workers are getting a better grip on tough jobs thanks to the new RIDGID® Quick-Acting Pipe Welding Clamp. Designed for quick setup and easy alignment of pipe from two to 12 inches, it is a perfect addition to any pipe fabrication or metal working project.

The Welding Clamp comes in two sizes – 2-inch to 6-inch and 4½-inch to 12-inch – allowing contractors to select the clamp best suited to their needs.

Product Highlights:

  • Quick-Acting Size Adjustment makes it easy to switch between various pipe
  • Clamp comes in two sizes – 2-inch to 6-inch and 4½-inch to 12-inch – with quick release buttons for faster set up and tear down.

Both sizes feature quick release buttons and integrated handles for fast adjustment, alignment and easy switching between pipe sizes. They also include spring-loaded winged set screws for precision three-point alignment and an integrated size gauge for simple pipe measurement. ACME threaded screws transmit ample clamp force, while the heavy-duty steel construction is built to withstand rugged jobsite applications.

“Efficiency continues to be a driving factor on every jobsite and having the right tools to allow for quick work without sacrificing quality is vital. Our new Quick-Acting Pipe Welding Clamp is our latest product to address that need and will enable contractors to quickly move between pipes and provide precise alignment,” said Larry Feskanich, RIDGID Global Marketing Manager.

Great for a wide range of heavy-duty plumbing, drain cleaning, maintenance, and rental applications, the Typhoon™ trailer jet from General Pipe Cleaners blows away blockages in big lines and long runs.

The Typhoon delivers 12 gallons a minute at 2500 psi to blast grease, sediment and debris from 4” to 12” lines up to 400 ft. long. And a 200 gallon holding tank carries enough water to handle remote locations where access to water is limited.

General’s brawny machine also boasts electric brakes, safety strobe light, safety cones, rear fold-down stabilizer jacks, retractable hose guide arm, and antifreeze system as standard equipment.

Its reliable 690 cc (24 hp) Honda engine with electric start and 7 gallon fuel tank ensures extended performance on stubborn stoppages. On-demand Vibra-pulse® helps slide the nozzle around tight bends – and propel the hose down long lines.

Two hose reels – a jet hose reel with 400 ft. x 1/2″ capacity featuring variable speed electric rewind, and a water supply hose reel carrying 150 ft. x 3/4″ hose – are mounted at the rear of the unit next to the pressure gauge and output valve. Engine controls, including an hour meter, are located within easy reach in the lockable tool box with slide action doors just below the reels.

General’s Typhoon trailer jet rides on rugged 15″ radial tires with modular wheels and a leaf-spring suspension rated at 3500 lbs per axle. A splash guard at the front helps protect the pump and engine from road debris. And the body is protected by a tough epoxy finish for added weather protection. The Typhoon is also available in a skid mount model.

Scot Pump, A Wilo Company, has expanded their line of stamped 304 stainless steel pumps with NPT connections to include nine new ANSI flanged centerline discharge models.

The new 320-328 series covers up to 385 gpm and 275 ft of head. The pumps feature Scot’s proven slip-fit O-ring/flinger design which prevents leaks caused by deformation as a result over-tightening. They are mounted on a JM frame and incorporate a back pull-out design and weep holes in the impeller. The weep holes extend seal life by creating fluid movement in the seal cavity which aids in venting of air at start-up. The complete line is pending NSF 61 approval with expected completion by the third quarter of 2018.

Scot debuted the full line of new stainless steel pumps at the AHR Expo in Chicago this January. “The range Scot is now offering with our stainless steel line is comprehensive and further solidifies our reputation with OEMs in the industry as providers of high-quality products with rugged designs that are built to last,” states Michael Moffett, Sales & Marketing Manager for Scot Pump.

The impressive display at the Expo highlighted why Scot has nearly 100 percent customer retention – they listen to their customers and go beyond meeting their needs by exceeding expectations.

Installers can save up to 75% in installation time with new press transition ball valves from NIBCO INC. The innovative press by PEX design needs no extra components to transition from copper piping to PEX. That makes connections from one piping system easier and faster; while eliminating additional hardware and potential leak paths.

The NIBCO family of transition valves features the only press by PEX configuration available today. Other configurations include press by union threaded, press by union solder and press by union male.

“We’ve designed the transition valves to reduce time, money and potential risks,” explained Riccardo D’Angelo, NIBCO product manager-Valves. “Current methodology requires additional components and time to install, resulting in higher total costs and more potential leak paths.”

Additional features include a compact design that installs easily in tight spaces. A leak detection system on press ends identifies uncrimped connections during system testing. A patent-pending stainless steel ring design on larger sizes also ensures a solid press crimped connection.
Manufactured from a lead-free* brass alloy, the valves are dezincification-resistant (DZR). Valves are rated up to 250 PSI cold working pressure and feature a blowout-proof stem. Sizes range from 1/2″ to 1”.

With the addition of the PC-FP600A-LF series, the NIBCO press valve line includes more than 600 SKUs, the largest product range in the industry.

Applications for the new PC-FP600A-LF valve series include potable water, HVAC (condensers, chilled water and hot water heating), hydronics, isolation and throttling.
