The new TruClimate 900 Heat Pump Chiller from WaterFurnace International is one of the most versatile electrification and decarbonization solutions on the market to meet nearly any commercial water heating and cooling need. Featuring a variable speed compressor with WaterFurnace’s OptiHeat technology, the TruClimate 900 Heat Pump Chiller can operate as a hot water or chiller water system or a simultaneous heating and cooling source. Unlike traditional chillers that are either dedicated to heating or cooling, the TruClimate 900 delivers 44-degree Fahrenheit chilled water and 140-degree hot water simultaneously from a single chiller – saving money and freeing up square footage in or on your building.
The WaterFurnace TruClimate 900 makes it possible to retrofit current setups with an electric solution that minimizes carbon footprints, add on to current setups for a hybrid plan, or create an entirely new heating and cooling solution altogether. It fulfills a need for building owners and operators seeking to eliminate or reduce reliance on legacy fossil fuel solutions, such as boilers and gas furnaces.
Available in 30 ton sizes, up to ten units can be banked to achieve a total capacity of up to 300 tons. The TruClimate 900 provides 100 percent heating capacity down to 5-degrees while producing 140-degree water. It shines in extreme conditions, offering the capability of continuous operation at temperatures as low as negative 25-degrees. Ariston USA, a part of Ariston Group, a global leader in heat pump water heating, announced the launch of the Hybrid Builder Heat Pump residential water heater from American Standard Water Heaters as part of its U.S. builder segment focus.
The Hybrid Builder Heat Pump water heater is available in 40-, 50-, 65- and 80-gallon capacities in 208V or 240V single phase. The unit features I-Memory, a self-learning habit algorithm which will ensure homeowners have hot water when they need it and save energy when they don’t. It also features integrated Wi-Fi and a Comfort Link App that connects to a local internet network to remotely monitor and control the water heater through a free mobile app.
The Hybrid Builder Heat Pump has five operation modes to suit different water heating demands. The Comfort mode is the default factory setting. Green, Fast, Electric and Vacation are other modes that provide premium flexibility. A boost function allows for a single heat up cycle, using the heat pump and elements to decrease recovery time.
The unit includes a user-friendly LCD display, is Ecoport certified, and includes a full flow brass drain valve for quick and easy drainage and a factory-installed temperature and pressure relief valve. Dual backup incoloy heating elements add reliability.
A heavy gauge steel tank provides years of trouble-free service, and a glass-lined tank with DuraGlas™ fired at 1600˚ F adds optimum protection from corrosion and includes a powered anode rod as a standard feature. The unit comes with a 10-year limited warranty on tank and component parts.
The Hybrid Builder Heat Pump Water Heater adds up to 75 percent energy savings vs. standard electrics, has high efficiency up to 3.81 UEF and 87-gallon FHR, and meets Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) Tier 3 Advance Water Heater Specification. Briggs & Stratton Energy Solutions is delivering more backup power with the introduction of its 13kW, 18kW and 22kW PowerProtect™ standby generators.
Briggs & Stratton’s air-cooled standby generators, which are engineered and assembled in the U.S., can run on natural gas or liquid propane. The PowerProtect line has NG Max technology so it offers more power output on natural gas compared to other generators in its class.
Briggs & Stratton standby generators are powered by the company’s trusted and proven commercial-grade Vanguard® engine that’s built to run continuously for days on end in the toughest environments. Another unique feature is the Eco-Cise™ smart weekly test mode that significantly reduces noise and fuel consumption, shrinking the weekly generator test from 5-20 minutes down to just 16 seconds.
PowerProtect generators are designed to work seamlessly with Briggs & Stratton Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS). The ATS senses when utility power goes out and within seconds switches the business or home to generator power.
PowerProtect owners can add a SymphonyⓇ Choice Kit to their system. Symphony technology is the power management system that automatically balances the electrical loads, and users can prioritize up to eight high-wattage items.
The PowerProtect generator line has a standard six-year warranty that covers parts, labor and technician travel, meaning there aren’t hidden fees. For those who purchase a unit through a Briggs & Stratton dealer, a 10-year warranty is available.
PowerProtect 13kW Standby Generator
At 28.5″ x 25.5″ x 37.6,” this new upright unit boasts an ultra-compact footprint and is ideal for tight lot lines. In fact, the 13kW has a 39% smaller footprint compared to competitive models. A front exhaust design allows for ultimate installation versatility. The 13kW delivers 13 running kW on liquid propane and 11.5 kW on natural gas. The 37 kVA motor starting power is 12% greater than the competition in the same power class. That means more available power to start up large appliances and equipment like an air conditioner.
PowerProtect 18kW Standby Generator
The 18kW generator measures 46.5″ x 26.8″ x 28.4″ and delivers 18 kW on liquid propane and natural gas. The 45 kVA motor starting power is 10% greater than the competition in the same power class and handles large items with ease. The 18kW is designed for emergency and non-emergency use. The non-emergency certification allows users to participate in their local utility’s demand response program and receive statement credits or other incentives for helping to reduce the overall load on the power grid.
PowerProtect 22kW Standby Generator
The 22kW generator measures 46.5″ x 26.8″ x 28.4″ and delivers a full 22 kW on both liquid propane and natural gas. The 22kW model comes with 45 kVA of motor starting power to ensure a smooth startup of large items like air conditioners. The 22kW is designed for emergency and non-emergency use. The non-emergency certification means users can enroll in their local utility’s demand response program and receive statement credits or other incentives for helping to reduce the overall load on the power grid.
PowerProtect 26kW Standby Generator
The 26kW generator measures 46.5″ x 26.8″ x 28.4″ and delivers over 26 kW on liquid propane and 24 kW on natural gas. The 26kW model comes with 65.6kVA of motor starting power to ensure a smooth startup of large appliances like air conditioners. In addition, it is non-emergency certified, meaning users can partner with their local utility’s demand response program and receive statement credits or other incentives for helping to reduce the overall load on the power grid.
The new 13kW, 18kW and 22kW PowerProtect generators replace the company’s 12kW, 17kW and 20kW units and build on Briggs & Stratton’s 115 years of experience in power application.
