Ambler, PA — Bradford White Corporation has provided $15,000 to support 2014 student scholarships through the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors (PHCC) Educational Foundation and PHCC National Auxiliary. The scholarships are designed to attract and support new talent that is essential to the future of the plumbing and HVACR industry.
The PHCC Educational Foundation’s Scholarship Committee met in August and selected winners for the three $2,500 awards sponsored by Bradford White. This year’s scholarship award recipients were:
• Adam Menken of Stormville, New York. Adam is pursuing a two-year degree in Plumbing, Heating & Refrigeration at SUNY (State University of New York) – College of Technology.
• Constantino Morales of Oceanside, California. He is working full-time at Brinks Investigation Restoration Services in San Diego and is enrolled in the PHCC Apprentice Academy of San Diego.
• Steve Winsett of San Diego, California. Steve is working full-time at Bill Howe Plumbing, Inc. and is enrolled in the PHCC Apprentice Academy of San Diego.
The remaining $7,500 in Bradford White’s scholarship support is awarded through the PHCC National Auxiliary, with winners to be announced during the PHCC—National Association convention; CONNECT 2014 in New Orleans, October 8-11. The PHCC National Auxiliary was founded in 1987 and is comprised of state and local chapters located throughout the country.
