MH: What are 2 commonly asked contractor questions regarding U.S. Boiler & its products, and how do you address those questions?

  1. “I didn’t know that?!” Yes, believe it or not, we hear this statement a lot. Did you know that U.S. Boiler Company, and its parent company, Burnham Holdings, have donated 150 95% AFUE boilers to Superstorm Sandy relief efforts? These boilers primarily went to elderly, the physically challenged, families with children, and veterans and were placed through the efforts of Rebuilding Together NYC. The total value of these donations exceeded $600,000. Did you know that the venerable Burnham Series 2 gas boiler now features a state-of-the-art IHC boiler control system and has the ability to easily add features such as low water cut-off and an aquastat? Did you know that we are the only boiler manufacture that has a fulltime controls engineer on staff? Sign up today for the US Boiler Report and never say “Wow, I didn’t know that” again!

2.  Okay… seriously… are U.S. Boiler Company and Burnham the same thing? No. U.S. Boiler Company manufactures and sells Burnham brand products.

MH: What do you believe are the two toughest things facing contractors today and how are the problems rectified?
AG: With all the constant changes within the industry, it becomes a challenge for contractors to stay up-to-date and know their available resources. This is in regards to product news, industry changes, and training. That’s why we have become VERY socially involved. By following USB, you will know all the great, new advancements at your fingertips, within seconds of releases!

MH: What are two tips you can provide that can help contractors as we move into the heating season? (Maintenance & check-ups, homeowner tips, service & repair, etc.)
AG: It’s crucial to stay informed about all product changes that you install. Keep a close relationship with your local rep and be aware of training opportunities in your area. Also, times are changing. With so many changes in such a busy world, don’t be afraid of social media. Social media, versus trade rags, is convenient for your schedule, full of fresh information, and easily customized with what information you want to hear about.
