AHRI program allows HX verification

Arlington, VA – The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute’s (AHRI) certification program allows contractors, specifiers, and design engineers to verify the software outputs of certified liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger performance ratings to ensure the reliability of data supplied by the manufacturer.

“This added service is part of our effort to increase buyer confidence in AHRI Certified® units and to ensure the integrity of our certification program,” said Bill Tritsis, AHRI’s Vice President, Certification.

This service facilitates the comparison of certification participants’ software output, including heat duty, heat transfer area, volumetric flow rate, and pressure drops, with the output obtained through that same participant’s selection rating software housed with AHRI. This information is not publicly available on the AHRI Directory of Certified Product Performance.

Requestors must complete the verification request form here, and send it to the program’s Executive Assistant Richie Mohan. A copy of the output sheet from the manufacturer’s selection rating software must be submitted in conjunction with this form.
