Woodridge, Ill. — Geber Plumbing Fixtures recently announced Rick Kogge of Kogge Plumbing in St. Marys, Ohio as the winner of its Drive 80! campaign prize. Kogge was randomly drawn from the campaign’s 2,800+ entries to win a new, fully loaded 2012 Chevy Avalanche truck.  He received the truck at an intimate event held at Carr Supply, Kogge’s wholesaler located in Dayton, Ohio.

“I was in shock when I got the call,” said Kogge. “I have a modest family-owned business and have been selling Gerber plumbing products for more than 30 years. I’ll drive the truck around servicing customers with great pride.”

The Drive 80! campaign was created to help celebrate Gerber’s 80th anniversary (1932-2012).  The celebration consisted of a series of events at plumbing locations nationwide. With the help of Gerber’s sales force, wholesalers and other plumbing professionals, the company hosted more than 250 events throughout the country in an effort to educate customers and professionals about Gerber’s latest brass offering and other new product introductions.

Qualified event attendees had the opportunity to enter into a raffle for a chance to win the Gerber branded Chevy Avalanche, worth more than $40,000. Gerber fittingly chose the truck in honor of its award-winning Avalanche toilet.

“We’re thrilled with the success of our Drive 80! campaign,” said Kevin McJoynt, vice president of marketing for Gerber. “We take a lot of pride in our heritage and in 80 years of servicing the plumbing professional. We look forward to the decades to come.”
