The Whalen Company, a manufacturer of HVAC vertical stack riser heat-exchanger fan coil units and water-source heat pumps, announces an upgrade of its Whisperline™ Vertical Stack heat pump. This heat pump offers simple, cost effective installation combined with the industry’s most flexible offering in the vertical stack product category. Available in 1/2 through 3-ton capacities, the units are engineered to provide energy-efficient heating and cooling as part of either boiler/cooling tower or geothermal applications.
Designed for a variety of applications including hotels, apartment buildings, assisted living facilities, office buildings and dormitories, the Whisperline™ Vertical Stack is built to meet the design of the building instead of forcing the building to conform to limitations of the equipment. The philosophy behind this product is not limited to physical size or optional accessories, which makes the Whisperline™ an optimal option for both new construction and retrofit.
The Whisperline is capable of performing at entering water temperatures of 60°- 95° F and at 40° – 100 °F with the addition of an extended range package and is functional in water or ground source applications. With efficiencies up to 17.7 EER, Whisperline™ units are both environmentally and economically friendly. Operating well above the ASHRAE 90.1 minimum, these units exceed minimum thresholds for most utility rebate and incentive programs. All units run on Ozone-friendly R-410A refrigerant.
