New executive director Lawrence Leonard joins PHCC’s QSC

Screen Shot 2016-02-18 at 10.17.05 AMLawrence Leonard, CAE, CMP, has joined PHCC—National Association’s Quality Service Contractors (QSC) as its incoming executive director. Leonard will replace Charlie Wallace, who is retiring next month.

“We are excited to have Lawrence join our team,” said PHCC—National Association Executive Vice President Michael Copp. “He will spend the next month learning about the organization before meeting QSC members in person March 17-19 at QSC’s Power Meeting in Daytona Beach, Florida.”

“We are impressed by Lawrence’s many successes in developing the right types of strategies to achieve organizational excellence, which is what QSC is all about,” said QSC Chair Bob Macca. “We look forward to working with him in the future.”

Leonard has many years of experience managing volunteer activities, programs, products, services and general business affairs of trade associations and professional societies, most notably the Association Management Company Institute and the Convention Industry Council.  He has also directed the conference and meeting planning activities of a large homebuilding trade association.

He earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) and Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation and has skills in many association management systems. The Virginia native graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in English.
