A family in Ayden, North Carolina is staying warm this winter thanks to a new HVAC unit provided by Ferguson, one of the nation’s largest HVAC equipment, parts and supply companies.

Ferguson provided the HVAC unit as part of Jackson and Sons Heating and Air’s promotion, Season of Giving. The promotion called for nominations for a family in eastern North Carolina that couldn’t afford to fix or replace their non-working heating and air system.

“The Season of Giving promotion is important to us because despite the everyday hustle and bustle of doing business, at Ferguson’s core is our care for people and relationships,” said Todd Trueblood, Ferguson’s area manager covering North Carolina. “We aren’t just a supplier, we are a partner. A partner to our contractors, and a partner to the communities we serve.

In just four weeks, 129 nominations were received, and the winner was selected on December 15.

“We are honored that Ferguson has been a part of Season of Giving each year by way of providing a Goodman HVAC system to a family in need,” said David Jackson, co-owner of Jackson and Sons Heating and Air. “This year the Goodman system was awarded to Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Wade of Ayden, North Carolina. Receiving this gift has lifted a huge burden from this family.”

The Goodman HVAC unit, provided by Ferguson, was installed by Jackson and Sons at the family’s home on December 19. The unit is a 3 Ton 14 SEER Goodman Packaged Gas/Electric Unit that provides efficient electric air conditioning in the summer and gas heat in the winter.
