North Andover, Mass. — Watts Water Technologies, Inc., recently received the Supplier of the Year – Marketing Excellence award from Affiliated Distributors. The award recognizes marketing efforts related to the Get The Lead Out™ Plumbing Consortium.
The Consortium is charged with providing widespread education about the manufacture, distribution, and installation of Lead Free plumbing products to comply with the federal Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act. The new law, which requires that the wetted surface of Lead Free products that come in contact with consumable water contain less than 0.25% of lead by weight, takes effect January 4, 2014.
Specifically, the Affiliated Distributors recognized Watts Waters’ leadership in the Lead Free transition, the development of its own educational website, www.WeAreLeadFree.net, and its support of industry speaking events.
