Uponor North America recently launched two newly designed websites for its U.S. and Canadian audiences. The www.uponor-usa.com and www.uponor.ca sites feature a cleaner look with updated content and additional resources for those interested in crosslinked polyethylene (PEX) plumbing, fire sprinkler, radiant heating/cooling, hydronic distribution and pre-insulated pipe systems.
The sites, which enjoyed a solid, six-year run before being revamped, are part of a global initiative to incorporate a common web platform across all Uponor companies worldwide. Parent company Uponor Corporation led the way on Nov. 7 with the launch of its new site at www.uponor.com.
“This initiative marks the first time in history that all Uponor markets worldwide are using a common web platform,” says Don Costello, web product manager at Uponor. “The new sites all have a clean, modern design, offer clearer navigation and are fully optimized for search and mobile.”
Several new features for the North American sites include:
• A blog that allows users to post comments and questions
• A virtual city where people can click on either a single-family home or a commercial building to see and learn about the Uponor products and systems in the structure
• A page where potential customers can locate an Uponor sales representative in their area.
“The modularity and flexibility of the new platform provides greater options for content, search and social integration, while also offering easier navigation for the general public,” says Costello. “It also provides a better environment for future initiatives, as we continue to explore areas where we can enhance our online presence.”
