Chris White, was killed in an accident September 28th.  Chris, was a 44 year old husband and father of three young sons, and a Field Service Supervisor at the Yaphank, NY location and worked closely with Dan Auciello who was a past vice-president of our association.  Chris was a volunteer who helped on some Oil Heat Cares projects and he was also doing volunteer work the morning he was killed by an impaired driver.

As background, Chris was part of a motorcycle group that was escorting elderly veterans to the Long Island MacArthur Airport.  After the event, as he was leaving, he was struck by a van that had run a red light.

Knowing there would be fundraising for the family we awaited that information.  There are two ways to contribute to the fundraising effort.  The one way is through a special day, “Remembering Chris White” that event will take place November 24th. You can purchase tickets for this event directing from Boots on the Ground http://www.bootsonthegroundny.com/2013/10/22/remembering-chris-white-benefit-for-his-family/ .

As Dan mentions, the location in Patchogue would be a great location for a motorcycle ride!

Another way to make a contribution is by visiting https://www.giveforward.com/fundraiser/9t53/christopherwhitesfamilyfund.

There you will also find a beautiful photo collage of the family.

Please feel free to share this information and consider making a contribution to the family.
