The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors (PHCC) Association held its annual Connect show in Las Vegas Oct 16-19. Mechanical Hub was on location. In fact, the Hub had its own booth, where tools, hats and can coolers were given away as a promotion.
Partnering with Milwaukee Tools, Mechanical Hub gave away an M12 Drill/Driver Combo Kit, a recently released M18 LED Flood Light and Milwaukee Tool merchandise. Dave Frame, president of Bob Frame Plumbing Inc., South Bend, Ind., won the drill/driver combo kit. Brian O’Connor won the LED light.

The PHCC Connect Show was packed with informative sessions, including seminars on upcoming new water heater regulations, Internet marketing, backflow solutions, food waste disposal innovation and repiping made easy for business diversification. The Keynote, “The Edge of Innovation: Separating the Frontrunners from the Stragglers,” was given by Rich Karlgaard, Forbes Magazine publisher.
The show also featured a product showcase with some of the top manufacturers on the bill.
Most importantly, the Hub covered the Plumbing Apprenticeship Contest. Apprentices from all over the country were vying for the top spot in the contest.
