ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) has issued PMG-1098 to NIBCO for its Press System. This ICC-ES PMG Listing allows code officials to quickly determine the press system’s compliance to specific codes and standards. The press copper and copper alloy fittings are used in service and distribution piping for hot and cold domestic water, potable drinking and cooking water, condenser and chilled water, and hot water heating.
“With this listing, NIBCO shows their products’ compliance to numerous industry-recognized codes and standards,” said ICC-ES PMG Senior Program Manager, Dawn La Fleur-Qualley. “We are pleased NIBCO chose ICC-ES PMG for their product certification needs.”
ICC-ES evaluated NIBCO’s press system to the requirements of the 2012, 2009 and 2006 International Residential Code® (IRC), International Plumbing Code® (IPC), International Mechanical Code® (IMC), IAPMO’s UPC© and IMC©. The products evaluated also meet the requirements of NSF/ANSI 61, Drinking Water Systems Components—Health Effects and NSF/ANSI 372, Drinking Water Systems Components—Lead Content.
“Obtaining the ICC-ES PMG Listing for our Press System has been a high priority for NIBCO Inc.,” said Manager of Standards and Codes for NIBCO, Andrew Granzow. “We were very pleased to work with ICC-ES PMG to complete the listing in an efficient and timely manner. We are confident this listing will assist in the clarification of code compliance to code officials, engineers and others.”
