Perrysville, Ohio — Mansfield Plumbing has committed to providing plumbing products again in 2015 for the Building Homes for Heroes program. Mansfield plans to donate products to at least 20 homes created by the national non-profit organization for injured service men and women returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“Every one of us at Mansfield feels honored to participate in this extremely worthwhile program to assist our returning veterans,” says Jim Morando, president of Mansfield Plumbing. “This terrific organization provides specially-adapted homes for dozens of service people each year. The mortgage-free homes are designed to restore the individual’s freedom and enable the recovering veteran to lead a more independent and productive civilian life.”
The first home in 2015 provided by Building Homes for Heroes was dedicated on January 23 in Marrero, Louisiana for Army Sergeant First Class Troy Reilly. As with other homes in the program, Reilly’s house was outfitted with Mansfield plumbing products for the master bath.
“We already know of 19 homes being created this year that will include top-quality Mansfield Plumbing products,” says Vicky Liu, construction team leader with Building Homes for Heroes. “The donations and support of companies like Mansfield Plumbing are critical to helping us reach our goal of providing adapted living homes to as many returning veterans as possible.
“Knowing that Mansfield Plumbing constructs their products in America and is a strong believer of ‘Made in America’ products and workforces, makes their contribution to our efforts even more valued. We deeply appreciate Mansfield Plumbing renewing their efforts as a product partner with us in 2015.”
During 2015 Mansfield Plumbing will donate toilets, lavatories and tubs to the Building Homes for Heroes program. Many of those products will be constructed to meet ADA standards, including the Restore™ walk-in tub featuring an inward swinging door. The deep well tub includes a sculpted, ADA height seat and can be ordered as a whirlpool or air bath.
