2013 marks the 50th year InSinkErator has sponsored PHCC National Auxiliary programs and the 25th year it has supported the PHCC Educational Foundation. InSinkErator also has been a strong supporter of the PHCC—National Association over the years.
“There have been so many achievements accomplished within the PHCC ‘family’ on behalf of the industry that were made possible with the support of InSinkErator,” said PHCC—National Association President David Dugger. “We value their generous contributions to help fund education programs for contractors and scholarships for future industry professionals, and look forward to continuing to advance the industry together.”
The company’s first PHCC-related alliance began 50 years ago with its inaugural sponsorship of the Auxiliary luncheon at the national convention. This assistance is exhibited today through sponsorship of the annual Awards Luncheon celebrating the best of PHCC.
“The partnership we have with the InSinkErator team is all about relationships,” said PHCC National Auxiliary President Sandy Stack. “The friendships that were developed in the 1960s by Dorothy Sharpe Clem and other Auxiliary members continue today. Many of our awards are named after retired executives of InSinkErator due to the impact that they have made in our lives. The Robert Cox and Larry Dore awards are for exceptional contributions to our industry, just like the people they are named after. There has also been a scholarship named in honor of Dennis Broderick since his retirement. The support of InSinkErator has been priceless to PHCC and our industry.”
InSinkErator became a major sponsor of the PHCC Educational Foundation's annual fundraising campaign in 1988, and has made gifts of $25,000 or more each year since. The PHCC Educational Foundation's “Invest in Your Future” annual giving campaign is a collaborative effort of InSinkErator, PHCC Educational Foundation and PHCC National Auxiliary. The campaign is the primary fundraising vehicle for both the Foundation’s contractor education efforts and the National Auxiliary's scholarship programs. “If you add up these contributions, InSinkErator has provided over $625,000 in support to the Foundation over the past 25 years,” Dugger said.
“Our programs provide work force development, technical training and management education to advance the growth of industry professionals. Together with the PHCC National Auxiliary, our scholarships alone have helped nearly 2,000 students pay for their education,” said PHCC Educational Foundation Chairperson Bill Jones. “This campaign and the programs it supports would not be possible without annual support and matching gifts from InSinkErator.”
In addition to generous support of the Foundation and the Auxiliary, InSinkErator is also a valued 2013 PHCC Corporate Partner,” With assistance from corporate partners, PHCC is able to implement many programs that advance the professionalism and education of plumbing and HVACR contractors.
