Ontario, Calif. — Preparations are already underway for the 2016 International Emerging Technology Symposium (IETS), to be held in May 2016 in the Chicago area. The IETS is widely considered by attendees and participants to be one of the most comprehensive and informative events to discuss timely
issues in the water efficiency, water quality, plumbing and mechanical industries.

The IETS is proud to announce that the Alliance for Water Efficiency (AWE) has signed on as co-convener. This brings the number of co-convening organizations to nine. They are: the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE), AWE, the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH), the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO®), the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA), the
Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors National Association (PHCC-NA), the Plumbing Manufacturers International (PMI), the United Association (UA), and the World Plumbing Council (WPC).

A Call for Abstracts has been issued and can be downloaded at http://www.iapmo.org/Documents/IETS_Call_for_Abstract.pdf.

“Participation by an increasing number diverse and widely respected organizations in the planning and presentation of this fifth IETS speaks to the growing significance of this International event,” said GP Russ Chaney, CEO of The IAPMO Group. “IAPMO is honored be part of what will no doubt be another informative and timely symposium.”

The IETS will gather plumbers, contractors, engineers, manufacturers, and water efficiency experts to introduce new technologies for the plumbing and mechanical industries, and to discuss emerging trends, challenges and opportunities important to anyone who cares about how water is used in the built environment.

In addition, the IETS is designed to provide a portal for the host organizations’ partners in the manufacturing, engineering and trade industries to display and demonstrate their innovative solutions to emerging problems and to discuss legislative and regulatory developments that often alter industry landscapes.

Prior presentations and a series of videos from the previous IETS events are available for viewing online at http://www.youtube.com/user/IAPMOGroup.
