Gowin, Inc. names VP of business development

Houston — Robert (Bob) Taylor has been named vice president of Business Development at Gowan, Inc.  He replaces Thomas Hazel, who is retiring after years of service with the company.

BobTaylorPhotoThe largest mechanical and sheet metal contractor in Houston, Texas, Gowan is a subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc., a leader in mechanical and electrical construction, industrial and energy infrastructure, and building services for a diverse range of businesses.

“We’re extremely pleased to announce the promotion of Bob Taylor to vice president, Business Development,” said Mark Froman, President and CEO of Gowan.  “He’s a proven leader with over three decades of experience who ensures that Gowan’s customers consistently receive the exemplary service they’ve come to expect from the company.”

Mr. Taylor, who joined Gowan in 1988, previously served as the company’s Chief Estimator and Project Executive. He has a strong background in purchasing, project management, and estimating.  Over the last four years, he has provided the pre-construction estimating services and transitions to construction services for some of Gowan’s largest projects, including the Galveston National Laboratory and The Methodist Hospital Research Institute.
