Fort Wayne, Ind. —  Shambaugh & Son, L.P. announced it has been awarded an Economic Revitalization Area Designation by the City of Fort Wayne in recognition of its planned job creation and square footage growth anticipated from two projects.

A leading facilities services and construction contractor in the Midwest, Shambaugh & Son is a subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc., a Fortune 500® leader in mechanical and electrical construction, industrial and energy infrastructure, and facilities services for a diverse range of businesses.

Shambaugh & Son applied for the Economic Revitalization Area Designation due to planned growth associated with two local projects:

In one location, Shambaugh anticipates expanding an existing facility by adding on approximately 8,000 square feet of office space and hiring an estimated 30 professionals (ranging from engineers, to estimators, to CAD operators).

In a second location, Shambaugh plans to lease a new 70,000 square foot facility, while maintaining its current, 26,000 square foot facility (which is planned to be used going forward as a warehouse). In this second location, the company anticipates it will hire approximately 35 additional people, including pipefitters and workers in the metal trades.

“We’re delighted with the Economic Revitalization Area Designation, which underscores the company’s commitment to the city of Ft. Wayne,” stated Mark Shambaugh, CEO of Shambaugh & Son. “We are very proud that our roots are here and our longtime standing and contributions to the community.”
