photo 1New products, new methods, and networking galore! These are just some of the benefits of attending a local or regional trade show just like the one the Illinois PHCC will be holding this Friday, March 21. The advantages of attending regional trade shows include putting you in direct contact with suppliers who offer materials that are appropriate for use in your geographical area, and networking with the state and local officials and designers who oversee your work.

Specific to the upcoming trade show, almost 2,000 people from all over Illinois and parts of Indiana, Wisconsin, and Iowa will converge upon the Drury Lane Conference Center in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois to attend the annual Illinois PHCC Expo & Educational Day. Their reasons for attending – to see the latest and greatest in tools, trucks, fixtures, boilers, water heaters, plumbing materials, installation methods, and the opportunity to network with others. Every facet of the p-h-c industry will be in attendance. Contractors, plumbers, inspectors, government officials, engineers, manufacturers, and wholesalers all come together to share ideas and learn from each other. Attendees can discuss technical issues directly with the regional manufacturer’s representatives, ask regulatory questions of local plumbing inspectors and government officials, and see new installation methods demonstrated. Information will also be presented on the new ADA requirements as they relate to plumbing, and the federal water heater regulations that take effect in 2015.

In addition to the 158 booths inside the show, demonstration trucks and trailers will be located outside at the entrance to Drury Lane. The Expo runs from noon until 5:00 PM and is a must see for anyone in the p-h-c industry.
