Eemax expands facility

In December of 2012, Eemax Inc. moved from Oxford, CT to a larger facility in Waterbury, Conn. The new location was double in size at about 35,000 square feet.

Now, just a short two years later, Eemax has already outgrown their new facility and has decided to expand again. Over the past month, renovations have begun to add about 10,000 square feet of space to help grow and expand the business. This addition is providing more room for inventory and allowing an additional manufacturing line to be built in the warehouse.

“Eemax continues to grow. We added two new product lines just this year, and we are increasing our distribution footprint. We needed to add new people and add more space,” said factory manager Mike Burns.

This expansion to the facility is the physical representation of Eemax’s development. Over the past 3 years the company has grown by nearly 47%, and was recently recognized on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest growing companies. “At Eemax we’re all about growth. We make investments in our facility, in our people, and in new products. It’s been the recipe for our success,” said Eemax CEO Kevin Ruppelt.
