Evaluating Moisture Damage with HOBO Temp/RH Loggers
Wed. November 12, 2014
2:00 to 3:00PM EDT | 11:00AM to 12:00PM PDT

In this 1-hour webinar, Lonnie Haughton from Richard Avelar & Assocs. will discuss a recent project where 100 Onset HOBO temperature and humidity data loggers were used to identify unexplained causes of moisture damage, wood decay and fungal growth found behind cladding and sheathing in walls of a wood-framed apartment complex. By automating the moisture sampling process, more than two million measurements were obtained during the five-month study.

Lonnie will show representative graphs to demonstrate how the collected data can be analyzed to support forensic investigations.

During this webinar, you will learn:
• The ‘humidity ratio’ (i.e., the ambient moisture load) is a function of temperature and relative humidity
• Temperature and humidity loggers can be deployed for long-term monitoring of the constantly-changing humidity ratio within exterior wall cavities
• Collected data can be easily evaluated and used by investigators to guide their forensic processes
• If you are a facility manager, building owner, energy manager or consultant, this webinar is for you.
