Trane®, a leading global provider of indoor comfort solutions and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, announced the availability of its ComfortLink™ II XL1050, the latest product in the brand’s portfolio of thermostats and smart controls. Trane’s connected control line of products provide homeowners with comfort on command, through easy-to-use products that communicate with the home’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning system.
The ComfortLink™ II XL1050, a Wi-Fi or Ethernet enabled connected control, acts as a home energy command center, providing homeowners with the ability to control indoor temperatures on a zone by zone basis, as well as create schedules and presets to customize the home’s temperature based on user preference. Users can also customize their home screen with optional views such as outdoor temperature, five-day weather forecast, alerts or radar. All of these features are controlled through one easy-to-use, programmable, digital thermostat that features a 7″ LCD display with color brilliance and touchscreen response.
Additional features include the ability to geo fence when not at home, automated software upgrades and the ability to display up to three views. Consumers can also amplify their use of the ComfortLink™ II XL1050 by pairing it with any of Trane’s Communicating Systems and TruComfort™ variable speed systems. This pairing allows dealers to tap into Nexia Diagnostics, a service tool that enables dealers to remotely access and view real time HVAC system data, providing fast and accurate system alerts, operating status and configuration, and enhancing dealer productivity to be better prepared for every job.
Compatible with standard 24v systems, the XL1050 supports up to five stages of heat and two stages of cool. Including a built-in Nexia™ bridge and compatible with Z-Wave Plus, the ComfortLink™ II XL1050 allows consumers to remotely control heating and cooling from any Web-enabled computer, tablet or smartphone. This added level of functionality with the Nexia smart home system provides consumers with convenience and peace-of-mind, knowing they are directly in control of their home’s temperature, regardless of their location. Nexia also allows consumers to expand their system with hundreds of smart devices from leading manufacturers including Schlage, GE, First Alert, Rachio, GoControl, FIBARO, Samsung, Andersen and Pella, to create a personalized, energy efficient smart home that simplifies their everyday life.
