Peachtree City, Ga. — Based on the Department of Energy’s updated efficiency-test procedures, the Rinnai E Series Combi Boilers recently earned a 95.5 percent AFUE rating, making them the most efficient combi boilers currently on the residential market. “Rinnai is known for product quality and reliability. The results of the latest efficiency tests reinforce our commitment to providing homeowners with products that enhance their everyday comfort and conserve natural resources,” said Tracy Young, product manager at Rinnai.

Additionally, the Rinnai Q Series Boilers earned between a 95 and 95.4 percent AFUE rating, ranking them among the most efficient heating-only boiler options available.

Rinnai’s newest line of boilers, the Q Premier Series, combines the efficiency of a Rinnai solo boiler coupled with a 24-gallon domestic hot water-charged indirect tank, bringing the best of both technologies into a single unit. The boilers in the Q Premier Series also earned an impressive 95.4 percent AFUE rating.

Tax-Credit and Rebate Options
The American Tax Payer Relief Act, signed into effect on Jan. 2, reinstates and extends tax credits for qualifying energy-efficient home upgrades purchased and installed through Dec. 31, 2013. Qualifying boilers, those that earn at least a 95 percent AFUE rating, can earn homeowners up to $150 in tax credits.

“Now is an ideal time for homeowners to check off some of those home improvement ‘to do’ items—especially with the colder fall and winter seasons approaching,” Young said. “In addition to the tax break, homeowners reap the benefits of these energy-efficient upgrades for years, as these products can help reduce monthly utility bills.”

Also, homeowners installing high-efficiency boilers should contact their local utility company to learn about additional rebates, which in some states can earn them more than $1,000.

Rinnai E Series Boilers
Rinnai E Series Boilers are designed for homes with smaller domestic hot-water requirements—one to two baths. Two models in the E Series use an integrated single-speed boiler pump and three-way valve that provide domestic priority and supply a home with heat, as well as continuous hot water. The proprietary stainless-steel heat exchanger is unmatched in the industry for performance and durability. E Series Boilers are engineered to offer homeowners the perfect heating solution with minimal maintenance. Unlike most traditional boilers, Rinnai E Series Boilers are wall hung offering additional space savings and installation flexibility. All E Series Boilers are approved for venting lengths up to 200 feet and comply with the SCAQMD low NOx requirements.

Rinnai Q Series Boilers
Rinnai Q Series Boilers offers a fully modulating pump coupled with a proprietary stainless-steel heat exchanger to make them one of the more efficient units available. With Btu inputs ranging from 85,000 to 205,000, the Q Series is ideal for any home or light-commercial applications in need of zone heating that has a separate hot-water source. The exception to the series is the 175,000-Btu Q Combi Boiler, which provides both heating and domestic hot water. All Q Series Boilers are approved for venting lengths up to 200 feet and comply with the SCAQMD low NOx requirements. Unlike most traditional boilers, Rinnai Q Series Boilers are wall hung offering additional space savings and installation flexibility.

Q Premier Boilers
The Q Premier Boiler, engineered with Rinnai’s industry-exclusive heat exchanger, offers homeowners reliable comfort with more capabilities, efficiency and versatility than ever before. For installation professionals, the fully assembled system offers a faster, easier install with multiple plumbing and venting options. With the introduction of the Q Premier Boiler, Rinnai now offers a floor-standing model with the same high efficiency as a wall-mounted boiler.
