ACCA, the nation's largest association of indoor environmental systems professionals, has announced that registration is now open for the Service Managers Forum, which is taking place October 3 – 4 in Austin, TX. This event is presented by ACCA and the ACHR NEWS.

The Service Managers Forum is one of ACCA's most popular managers' meetings, and it is returning for the sixth year with a new line-up of learning labs to help veterans and new service managers reach new levels of success.

This year ACCA reworked the program schedule, so attendees get the most value out of this day and a half program. The lineup features eight learning labs that cover residential and commercial topics and two learning labs that cover leadership topics. The two leadership learning labs will be repeated, so that attendees will have the opportunity to go to both.

Kicking off the Service Managers Forum is Jason Young, a former high level manager at Southwest Airlines. He wowed contractors during the High Stakes Learning Event during the ACCA's 2012 Conference in Las Vegas, so we brought him back for one of our most popular events. During the opening session, Lead Smart — High Performance Leadership, Young will share how leaders develop, motivate, and empower people to achieve extraordinary results while providing vision and guidance throughout the entire process. Faced with two choices – lead smart or die – truly smart leaders know what to do to achieve your department's success. Attendees will learn how organizing talent to build an effective team creates an incredible workplace culture, how applying successful coaching skills will help your department excel, and how to handle change – for better or worse.

The event closes with the popular “I've Got An Idea!” session with idea-chief, Vince DiFilippo of DiFilippo's Service Company. During this rapid fire event, attendees share their own success secrets (and maybe even admit to a few mistakes) for others to take back to their businesses to turn into big results.

“The Service Managers Forum continues to be one of our most popular educational events each year and we are excited to be heading back to Austin for our sixth year,” said Kevin Holland, ACCA's senior vice president – business operations & membership. “We've packed the schedule with a brand new line up for learning labs that will feature some of our best speakers from the past and some new speakers to help service managers review their processes, recharge their outlook, and reinvigorate their entire team when they return home. This event is about learning, growing, and helping attendees move to the next level of success.”

To round out the event, attendees can spend time talking to some of the top manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers in the industry in the Sponsor Showcase. Sponsors include: AC Leak Freeze; Davisware; CallSource; Comfort Institute; ContractorSelling.com; Demandforce, an Intuit Company; Emerson; Fujitsu; Jackson Systems; NATE; and Service Automation.

Registration is open for this event at www.servicemanagersforum.com or by calling 703-824-8856. Contractors can register with early bird pricing of $395 until August 15. Prices will increase $100 after that date.

ACCA has also secured a special rate of $179/night plus applicable fees and taxes at the Sheraton Austin Hotel at the Capitol. The ACCA rate is good until September 5, 2013, or when the block is full, whichever comes first.
