Rees Foundation awards HVACR techs

Arlington, Va. –The Clifford H. “Ted” Rees, Jr., Scholarship Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation of the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), announced $17,500 in scholarship funds to 10 students studying to become technicians in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and water heating industry.

“These students are a shining example of the qualified, dedicated HVACR and water heating technicians we need to fill good-paying jobs that cannot be outsourced,” said AHRI President & CEO Stephen Yurek. “We wish them success in their educational pursuits and careers.”

Brandon Harris, Bevill State Community College – Sumiton Campus (Sumiton, Ala.)
Cameron Harris, Bevill State Community College – Sumiton Campus (Sumiton, Ala.)
Kenneth Humber, Bevill State Community College – Sumiton Campus (Sumiton, Ala.)
William McDonald, Bevill State Community College – Sumiton Campus (Sumiton, Ala.)
Landon Short, Bevill State Community College – Sumiton Campus (Sumiton, Ala.)
Micah Woodward, Bevill State Community College – Sumiton Campus (Sumiton, Ala.)
Evelyn Zavala, Montgomery College – Rockville Campus (Rockville, Md.)
Ryan Pullam, Ranken Technical College (St. Louis, Mo.)

Robert Haggard, Black Hawk Tech (Janesville, Wis.)
