Glen Ellyn, Ill. – The Plastic Pipe and Fittings Association (PPFA) is proud to celebrate its 40th year as the acknowledged leader in the industry supplying plastic pipe for the built environment. In an era when technological and economic breakthroughs are constantly reshaping the industry, PPFA has remained the voice for the sustainable manufacture and use of plastic piping systems for four decades. The Association commemorated the occasion at the 2018 Spring Meeting with a presentation honoring the Past President’s and a celebratory reception and dinner.

According to Matt Siegel, PPFA President and Vice President of National Pipe and Plastics, “PPFA was organized in 1978 to create a forum for plastic pipe and fittings manufacturers to address industry issues and the myriad of building regulations affecting industry products. The details of those issues and challenges have changed over time, but PPFA’s mission carries on – to provide value and growth opportunities to members through the collective promotion and defense of plastic piping products.”

He added, “External challenges will continue to require the unified voice of an industry response. In the built environment, PPFA is that voice. The Association will strive to facilitate, advocate, and educate and is committed to remaining an industry leader for many years to come.”

The Plastic Pipe and Fittings Association (PPFA) represents the leading manufacturers of plastic piping, fittings and solvent cements for plumbing and related applications, and leading suppliers of raw materials, ingredients or machinery for the manufacturing process.
