Three employees of PHCC of Broome County (N.Y.) member company Louis Picciano & Son were hurt in an explosion on the State University of New York (SUNY) Cortland campus early this morning.
The school confirmed via its website that the incident happened just after 7 a.m. on the construction site of SUNY Cortland’s Student Life Center.
The three employees were taken to University Hospital for treatment. SUNY Cortland Spokesperson Fred Pierce said the three workers did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
The school says construction has been halted for the day, pending the investigation into the explosion.
