Falls Church, Va. — The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors—National Association (PHCC) Educational Foundation and Cengage Learning announce the release of Plumbing 101, 6th Edition in an e-book version. Available in Kindle, Nook, and Apple formats, this book is the first title in a four-year series of plumbing apprentice training textbooks expanding into the electronic books market. Plumbing 101 is ideal for apprentice new to the field and includes both residential and commercial plumbing topics.

Electronic book editions of Plumbing 201, Plumbing 301, and Plumbing 401, the Foundation’s second, third, and fourth titles in the four year series, respectively, will be released during the summer months as well.

“Electronic textbooks are a way for us to reach a more tech-savvy audience of apprentice plumbers and technicians who are seeking quality information for developing their careers. These e-books have the advantage of a lower purchase cost as well as increased portability as the books are downloaded to a tablet device,” said Foundation Director of Apprentice and Journeyman Training Merry Beth Hall. “We are excited to be on the forefront training with the offering of electronic textbooks for our technologically-driven students.”
