Portland, Ore. — Viewpoint Construction Software, providing construction software that integrates and MSI Data, a provider of field service management software, announced today a partnership that offers Viewpoint customers streamlined management of inspections in the office and in the field. The partnership combines Viewpoint V6 with MSI Data’s VEIL Mobile Inspection Software, providing Viewpoint customers simple, drag and drop creation of native mobile inspection templates, a cross-platform mobile inspection app for iOS, Android or Windows mobile devices, and centralized inspection management.
Field inspections, whether for jobsite safety, equipment condition, preventive maintenance or regulatory compliance, are a vital field-driven business process for the construction industry. Unfortunately, manual methods of performing and managing field inspections with paper or disconnected spreadsheets can be a detriment to a contractor’s business through poor field productivity, lack of centralized inspection visibility, and safety due to difficulty enforcing consistency. VEIL automates inspection management and field data collection for a variety of construction processes, including safety inspections, checklists, audits, site surveys, observations and more.
