Perrysville, Ohio — Mansfield Plumbing reports unprecedented donations to non-profit organizations in 2014. From local school groups to homes constructed across the nation for wounded veterans, Mansfield donated to more than 50 different projects last year.

“A large number of our financial contributions are made to community projects located close to our manufacturing facilities that are recommended by our employees,” says Jim Morando, president of Mansfield Plumbing. “We’ve sponsored a booth at the Loudonville Agricultural Society Fair, made donations to our local Lions Club and even supported a summer reading program at a local public library. As a major employer in the area, we believe it’s important to provide encouragement and support to a wide variety of community organizations.”

In addition to making cash donations to non-profit local activities, Mansfield also donated sanitaryware and bathware products to different groups. A wide variety of toilets and sinks were contributed to the Mohican Historical Society, Mansfield Grace Temple, Ashland Mental Health Board and the Ashland County Fairgrounds. Mansfield plumbing products and financial support were also given to the national Building Homes for Heroes and Habitat for Humanity programs.

Additional, the company provided five $1,000 scholarships to children of employees who are pursuing college degrees. The 2014 scholarships were awarded to: Santiago Acero (son of employee Adriana Miller), Courtney Crider (daughter of employee Curtis Crider), Mikala Kopp (daughter of employee John Kopp), Alexis Martin (daughter of employee Teresa Martin) and Sage Weber (daughter of employee Craig Weber).

“Every donation we make illustrates our support for our employees and the projects and people they care about,” says Morando. “From sponsoring local bowling teams to donating to high school yearbooks, these are the projects our employees are involved in locally. It’s our privilege to serve as community partners with so many worthwhile organizations.”
