They install without special handling or high-temperature solders because the valve bodies are made without lead-substitute additives such as bismuth or silicon.

The Bonomi 100712LF features a forged lead-free brass body that is stronger and lighter than sand-cast valve bodies with zero porosity. All brass components are made from brass alloy CW510L/ASTM C28500 which contains no bismuth, thus preventing stress cracking.  It also contains no silicon, which increases resistance to heat.

The absence of silicon allows sweat-end connections on Bonomi valves to be made with traditional soldering methods and materials while still meeting all requirements of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), California AB1953 and other individual state regulations.  The Bonomi 100712LF Series is approved for low leaded service under NSF-61 ANNEX F&G and NSF/ANSI 372.

The valve’s polyetherimide disc is abrasion and corrosion resistant. It is suitable for a wide temperature range, from +10˚ to 210˚F. The patented disc to interior body design prevents potential side loading common to other check valve styles. The elastomeric seat and interior body design create a flow pattern with high flow capacity and low pressure loss. The seat spring is made from stainless steel with a cracking pressure of .5 PSI.

Sizes from 1/2” to 2” FXF sweat accommodate a wide range of system requirements. Maximum working pressure is 200 WOG.
