Grundfos Named to Ingram’s List of Top 100 Privately Held Companies in Kansas City

Olathe, Kan. — With its U.S. sales operation headquartered in Olathe, Kan., global pump manufacturer Grundfos was named to Ingram’s list of “Top 100 Privately Held Companies in Kansas City.”

The Denmark-based company established its presence in the Kansas City area in 2001 and now employs more than 170 people in a number of regional functions: sales, customer support, product technology, marketing, training, and design and engineering. The Olathe facility serves a variety of industries, including domestic and commercial buildings, groundwater, water treatment and industrial.

Grundfos Kansas City contributed 75 percent of the total revenues for Grundfos North America, which reached $500 million in 2012. In the past five years, Grundfos North America has increased revenues by 67 percent, invested $150 million in operations, and more than doubled its workforce.

“We have no intention of slowing our growth,” said Dennis Wierzbicki, president of Grundfos USA. “We aim to increase our revenues to $1 billion by 2017.”

Wierzbicki said the company was honored to be named to Ingram’s list of Top 100 Private Companies and owed its nomination to the hard work of its employees.

“Our employees have a relentless desire for innovation. That’s what keeps us at the forefront of the industry,” Wierzbicki said.
