Grundfos Expands Groundbreaking MAGNA Series with Four News Models
Smaller models bridge performance gap between Grundfos ALPHA, MAGNA3 portfolios

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. — Grundfos announces the sales release of four new “small” MAGNA models for larger residential and light commercial applications.

A video of these pumps in action is available on YouTube.

All four models – MAGNA3 32-60, MAGNA3 32-100, MAGNA1 32-60 and MAGNA1 32-100 – are available in cast iron and stainless steel, and boast the same features and benefits of medium and large MAGNAs. They allow customers to minimize energy costs through best-in-class efficiency, as well as the reliability that comes with 40 years of pump experience and one million test hours.

“Our customers demand more, so we endeavor to deliver products that not just meet but exceed their needs,” said Terry Teach, business development director for Grundfos Domestic Buildings. “Our customers will enjoy the simplicity and efficiency of MAGNA’s easy-to-use control interface and advanced operating modes, which include the adaptive intelligence of Grundfos AUTOADAPT.”

Grundfos is the only manufacturer to offer a variable-speed electronically commutated motor (ECM)-based circulator that uses AUTOADAPT, an integrated logic algorithm, to “learn” the varying energy-usage patterns of an application over time, enabling the software to automatically determine the lowest possible operating? efficiency point to meet ever-changing demand. By continuously fine?tuning power consumption and flow rates to meet the dynamic needs of the system, the AUTOADAPT function saves both energy and money.

In addition, the new FLOWLIMIT function and FLOWADAPT control mode make it possible to set a maximum flow limit for the pump in order to improve overall energy efficiency and eliminate the need for pump throttling valves. Other features include proportional pressure, constant pressure, constant temperature and constant curve modes, as well as heat energy meeting.

Easy to install, operate and maintain, the innovative MAGNA series features easy communication with building management systems and built-in heat energy metering. Additionally, wireless connectivity enables handheld pump control, monitoring and reporting capabilities with the Grundfos GO, a mobile toolbox available on Apple and Android devices.

Made in Fresno, Calif., these pumps are currently in stock and available for sale.
