General Pipe Cleaners’ redesigned Speedrooter 92™ cable-feed drain cleaning tool blends rugged reliability with ease of use. The redesigned inner drum is molded to surround and contain the Flexitube™ distributor tube to prevent cable tangling, while still allowing the operator to see how much cable is left in the drum. The Flexitube spring distributor tube allows the cable to smoothly feed and retract, even if the frame has been damaged or abused. A grease fitting was added to the hub to make it easier to grease and maintain the machine.
The Speedrooter 92’s durable, field-tested design also offers easy handling. One person can easily load it onto a truck. The machine’s frame slides smoothly from the loading wheel to the handle, to the stair climbers and finally to the wheels. The adjustable height, swept-back handle also provides maximum maneuvering leverage. A cord wrap on the handle makes it easier to store the power cord and foot pedal.
With the pulling power for long, tough jobs, General’s power cable feed drives and retracts 3/4-, 5/8- and 1/2-inch cables easily at a rate of up to 20 feet per minute. A simple adjustment knob on top of the feed allows users to adjust for different cable sizes without needing to use a screwdriver.
The large steel drum holds up to 100 feet of 3/4- or 5/8-inch Flexicore® cable for clearing 3- to 10-inch drain lines. The small drum carries up to 100 feet of 9/16-inch (super half-inch) Flexicore cable for clearing 2- to 4-inch lines. The durable design features a braced frame at key stress points, and a heavy-duty 1/2-horsepower motor with thermal overload protection.
Flexicore cable is made of heavy-gauge wire coiled tightly around 49-strand aircraft type wire rope and is heat treated. Flexicore cable has unequalled strength with the right amount of flexibility. It’s so tough it carries a one year warranty against breakage.
