F&G Mechanical to repair Statue of Liberty

Norwalk, Conn, — EMCOR Group, Inc. announced that its subsidiary, F&G Mechanical Corp., has been awarded a contract to repair damage to the Statue of Liberty National Monument and Ellis Island, New York, NY caused by Hurricane Sandy in October, 2012.

F&G Mechanical will be responsible for repairing multiple buildings at Ellis Island that were damaged by Hurricane Sandy.  Scope of work includes removal and installation of centrifugal chillers and boilers, removal and installation of piping, removal and installation of air handling units and chilled water and steam piping, removal and installation of HVAC units, removal and installation of 30,000+ square feet of ductwork, and refurbishment of damaged sections of the fuel oil system.
