Danze & Gerber support Operation Gratitude

Woodridge, Ill. — Danze, Inc. and Gerber Plumbing Fixtures are proud to participate in its annual care package donation to Operation Gratitude – a support network for those US Service Members deployed overseas.

Employees from both Danze and Gerber donated basic necessities and hygiene products (tooth brushes, tooth paste, lip balm, deodorant, etc.) and assembled them into care packages to be sent abroad.  In total, team members donated thousands of items, which resulted in more than 200 kits.

“We were also able to write letters of thanks to express our appreciation to all these military men and women do for our country,” says Jennifer Hulick, Danze/Gerber’s business development team leader.  “Items that we all take for granted every day are really a need them have on a daily basis.  It’s really the least we can do to support their efforts.”

This is the 3rd year Danze and Gerber team members have supported Operation Gratitude.  This support is one of many initiatives that help both companies live up to its mantra of being a positive force in the communities in which they serve.

About Operation Gratitude
Operation Gratitude (www.operationgratitude.com) annually sends 150,000+ care packages filled with snacks, entertainment, hygiene and hand-made items, plus personal letters of appreciation, to New Recruits, Veterans, First Responders, Wounded Warriors, Care Givers and to individually named U.S. Service Members deployed overseas. Our mission is to lift the spirits and meet the evolving needs of our Active Duty and Veteran communities, and provide volunteer opportunities for all Americans to express their appreciation to members of our Military. Each package contains donated product valued at $75-100 and costs the organization $15 to assemble and ship. Since its inception in 2003, Operation Gratitude volunteers have shipped more than One Million Care Packages.
