Bradford White High EF Water Heater

Bradford White Corporation, Ambler, PA- Bradford White is introducing a new residential gas water heater with a .70 Energy Factor (EF). The new model currently qualifies for the September 1st, 2010 minimum ENERGY STAR® EF requirement, as well as most utility rebate programs. It also meets the Department of Energy’s (DOE) future energy conservation standards set to go into effect April 16, 2015.

The new water heater is atmospherically vented and utilizes a highly efficient blower to pull air through a tightly restricted baffle system. This provides a high rate of heat transfer to the water stored in the tank. The baffle system, 2” of non-CFC insulation, and the electronic ignition system help the water heater achieve its high Energy Factor rating.

The new model features the ICON System™ intelligent gas control, the Hydrojet® Total Performance System, and Vitraglas® – an exclusively engineered enamel tank lining formula that provides superior protection from the highly corrosive effects of hot water.

Available in both 40 and 50-gallon models with inputs of 38,000 BTU/Hr., they come equipped with Bradford White’s renowned Defender Safety System® – the extremely safe, reliable and virtually maintenance-free, flammable vapor ignition resistant system.
