Arlington, Va. — The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) will again join 15 North American HVACR organizations in co-sponsoring the HVACR & Mechanical Conference for Education Professionals, March 3-5, 2014, in Linthicum, Maryland (a suburb of Baltimore). The conference, now in its 19th year, will take place at the Conference Center at the Maritime Institute. Registration is available here.

The purpose of the Conference is to provide instructors, industry trainers, and administrators of apprentice and secondary/post-secondary school-based instructional programs with cutting-edge technical information and teaching techniques that will enable them to effectively train the next generation of skilled workers for the HVACR and mechanical industries.

“This conference will enable instructors from around the country to share best practices and new approaches to grow this important industry,” said AHRI President and CEO Stephen Yurek. “The better equipped these education professionals are to train the newest generation of HVACR, mechanical, and plumbing technicians, the more prepared their students will be for the industry’s many rewarding, well-paying careers,” he said.

The conference is suited for a broad range of mechanical, plumbing, and HVACR education professionals. Prospective attendees are advised that the Rees Scholarship Foundation’s HVACR and Water Heating Training Instructors Program is available to assist qualified instructors with transportation costs.
