AHRI Introduces New EnergyGuide Label Images to Directory of Certified Product Performance

Arlington, Va. — The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) today announced that the AHRI Directory of Certified Product Performance was upgraded to include EnergyGuide labels for all basic models in the following product categories: Unitary Small Air Conditioners, Unitary Small Heat Pumps, Variable Speed Mini Split Air Conditioners, Variable Speed Mini Split Heat Pumps, Residential Boilers, Residential Furnaces, and Residential Water Heaters. This was done to ensure compliance with a final rule issued by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) that requires images of EnergyGuide labels to be available for electronic linking and downloading.

“This added functionality fulfills all EnergyGuide label availability requirements, and ensures that our members remain in good standing with the FTC,” said AHRI President and CEO Stephen Yurek. “We’re pleased that our Directory can alleviate this added burden for our certification program participants while providing all necessary information to the Commission. It is another benefit of participation in our globally recognized, industry respected certification program,” he said.

The Directory allows users to validate and export data and to generate product certificates. To be included in the Directory, products and equipment are subject to rigorous testing at an independent, third-party laboratory under contract to AHRI.
